| Rated 4 out of 5: Spent two nights here before Christmas with my husband. We loved the spacious room (we took a Junior Suite) - always a bonus in cities like London - my only complaint would be the bathroom, which was small and didn't live up to the standard of the room. Room service for breakfast was good, prompt and of a high standard. When we couldn't get a reservation at the fabulous Indian Restaurant around the corner called Rasoi for our second night, the Receptionist was successful - please go there if you can - the food is outstanding. Lastly, the location was perfect - so convenient for the shops. I would recommend this place and gladly stay there again; however, as we live in the country, and usually go to London for some hustle and bustle, I found San Domenico House too quiet .... which is the best compliment I can give the place because that is exactly why people stay there! Rated 5 out of 5: This little gem is situated in the Kensington/Chelsea Borough and has only 19 rooms. They are all differently styled but in a most chic and elegant way. The staff was very friendly. Many of the room interiors can be seen on the virtual tour on the hotel's website. The King's road is at 1 minute away with lots of Café s and restaurants. Even the Sloane square tube station is about 2 min away. An ideal spot where we shall certainly return. |

| Rating out of 10: 10 Date stayed: September 2004 review: Third stay...so does that tell you how much we love it? Quiet residential street...wonderful and accommodating staff. Tell them you want a stuffed animal on your bed! I got a hedgehog, made in England...really! He now resides on my bed in the States. Location could not be better. And El Blazon, restaurant right behind the hotel, is fabulous. Sloane staff will arrange for the food to be brought to your room, should you desire. Don't change a thing, please, 'cause we'll be back! |
