| Rated 5 out of 5: This was my second time at Sofitel St James, I was still surprised by the amazing treatment as the kindness they treat their guests. I had been to some other Sofitel Hotels in Europe, I do find this one from far the best one of any other I had been before. Regarding the team attention to any guest's needs, trying to give us the best comfort we could dream. Every single evening a musician plays beautifully bringing the most romantic atmosphere. As a frequent traveller, I do recommend it for an unforgettable escape in London. Rated 4.6 out of 5: The staff were excellent - very personable, friendly, and looking for ways to enhance your visit. The location was superb. The room was fabulous. Beautiful and luxurious fittings. Wonderful shower! The reason I chose Sofitel was because my Mum, sister and I all wanted to share a room and there were few hotels that could accommodate us - we had a junior suite at Sofitel and it was very comfortable for the three of us. I would definitely recommend Sofitel to friends. It was pricey but the service and overall experience was second to none. We were disappointed to find the restaurant was closed for refurbishment when we got there. If I had realized that when booking, I possibly wouldn't have booked this hotel, but in fact they did a reasonable job of coping without it. Rated 5 out of 5: My sister and I had, again, a wonderful 2 days at the Sofitel. The service is impeccable and always with a genuine friendly, but not obtrusive, approach. To be right in the heart of London but cocooned in such a warm, friendly and quiet atmosphere is truly amazing. Not many hotels could top that! Their new restaurant is beautiful and service, even on a busy Saturday morning for breakfast , was the usual high standards. The bar also has been redecorated and is very inviting and we enjoyed our French platter of meats with drinks. Very appetising! My thanks to Sally Ann who graciously met us and Erica, who was charm itself. We hope to return soon. Rated 4.5 out of 5: Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Wished we'd stayed longer. We had a triple room and the third bed was perfectly fine and comfortable for an adult. Slippers and water were a nice touch and appreciated, as were tea and coffee making facilities (which you don't always get in hotels like this). Everything pretty much perfect for us. Rated 5 out of 5: Fantastic stay in London. Staff went that extra mile always to help you and the room was out of this world. Bed was sleeping on a cloud, so comfy. Highly recommended.. Perfect location, clean, good rooms, fantastic bed, great bathrooms, all necessary amenities, excellent food at the restaurant and good service (contrary to some other visitors I found the service attentive and very efficient). One negative for me was that the room I had was facing the internal yard and at first glance looked slightly depressing because of that, the lack of light, darker decor and a relatively small size (but not that small by London standards). Later this was not a problem And finally, the quality and location of the hotel are amply reflected in the prices. Every little detail is perfect. the quality of the staff was 1st class the food out of this world and the accommodation perfect. Rated 5 out of 5: Great location to National Gallery, Piccadilly Square, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and gardens. Contemporary style, very comfy bed, staff polite and helpful. Free "slow" internet in the room-it was fast enough! Rain shower head. The shower was a bit small so the splashing water would sometimes puddle on the floor. No other complaints! Overall: A beautiful, centrally located hotel. Comfortable beds with soft linens, down blanket and pillows. Robes, slippers, bottle of water per person with turndown service. Kettle, instant coffee, tea, hot cocoa. Towel warmer in the bathroom was a treat! Rated 5 out of 5: Sofitel st James's is a great hotel in the perfect location for shopping, bars and restaurants. Went for the fireworks - just a short walk from hotel had a perfect view. Can't beat it. Rated 5 out of 5: The Sofitel hotel is a smart location off pall mall and excellently situated in walking distance from west end theatres, restaurants and other attractions. Hotel staff were very attentive and we liked the decor, fresh flowers and live grand piano music in the entrance lounge |
