Excellent choice of hotel, good location close to town centre. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, excellent leisure facilities. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely be returning. Only thing is they need to modernise their bedrooms and linens.

Only stayed for 1 night and due to other commitments we didn't have time to enjoy all the facilities although our friends did, all the staff were very friendly, but the decor needs refreshing, and it would have been nice to have a choice of fruit juice at breakfast instead of 3 jugs of orange juice. The toiletries were of a very poor quality.

myself and my wife travelled from derby to stay in this quite pleasant country manor although there were a few surprises when we got here. The room was somewhat ok but a bit dated and when i complained and asked to speak to the manager i was told it wasn't possible because the operations manager was busy eating.
I wasn't too impressed with this and approached another member of staff who explained to me that it was common for the operations manager not to be around as she was always eating and that she was usually like this and the other staff seemed to explain to me that the operations manager and there general manager had made the lives of the staff at the hotel unbearable due to the way they are treated and they also informed me that these particular managers were stealing from the hotel on a vast scale...now if this matter is to be true then it should be reported to their head office and i hope they are dealt with in an effective manner.
apart from that the staff were pleasant and the service was good

review: this hotel is quiet nice but its a bit from town and there is no cash machine around the area and they dont have a foreign currency convertor in the hotel which is very rare!!!!
