Rated 5 out of 5:
The design of the room was exceptional! The room felt spacious, plenty of room around the bed, with everything I needed available. What really impressed me was that on the desk in the room there was a plug-in for both EU and UK devices so I didn't have to call down for an adapter. The staff was solicitous and really seemed to care. For breakfast I had the eggs Florentine and the English muffin was just baked and the best I have ever had.

Rated 5 out of 5:
Our weekend was 5-star all the way. From the greeting on arrival, to our wonderful room overlooking The Thames, through a delicious Afternoon Tea and a rather generous full English breakfast. I could not fault any element of the service, accommodation or food. The Swissotel Howard is a hotel I would highly recommend as a perfect venue for a special occasion. Upgrade to a river-view room. You honestly won't want to leave. The views of Tower Bridge, St Pauls and The Houses of Parliament are stunning.

Rated 4.5 out of 5:
Brilliant location for Theatre Land and on to West End, on quiet road parallel to the Victoria Embankment and opposite Temple Underground. Pay the extra for a river view and when the trees are in leaf ask for 4th floor upwards. Full height glazing, breakfast in bed, the river and privacy. Spacious fully equipped room, although neatly fitted bathroom a little small and becoming dated. Staff anticipate and seem to care.

Rated 4 out of 5:
I was very impressed with the staff at this hotel, they couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and professional. I work in the Travel, Events & Hospitality industry and therefore I stay in many hotels all around the world. I experience service levels of every kind and therefore I know when things are good and when they are bad, but at the Swissotel I couldn't fault it. They really did exceed my expectations.
The bedrooms were pleasant, clean and a reasonable size, baring in mind it is a London city hotel. We were also given a room with fantastic views overlooking the River Thames. You can even see the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament.
Unfortunately we had a busy couple of days and therefore we didn't get chance to experience the afternoon tea or the food in the hotel's restaurant, but the bar and dining facilities looked trendy, contemporary and relaxed, plus it was always busy, which I think is a good sign.
Another positive is the location. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to Covent Garden, so great for anyone who wants to do some shopping!
