| A Marylebone Hotel guest gave the hotel 4 out of 5: We booked the Marylebone for a long weekend in London after an exhaustive search. When we arrived we were welcomed by the doorman and from that moment the service we received was exceptional, we booked the cheapest room through a booking agent and the room was excellent, we were on the front of the hotel but there was almost no noise from the road and the hotel is in a quiet residential area, but only 5 mins walk from Bond Street tube and Oxford St. The food was very good too. The staff are always aware of you and you only have to blink and someone will appear asking if you need anything. I had forgotten to pack my ipod charger and asked at reception if they could help, expecting a no sorry, but they did indeed have a charger although i had to leave my ipod with them. Fantastic. All in all a fantastic Hotel and we will return. Rated 3.7 out of 5: Liked: Friendly staff and great location. Good customer service. Disliked: Cleanliness of the hotel room, stains on the bed sheet (complained and room changed). Went shopping got taxi back with a lot of bags and there was no one to assit me at the door. room service selection is poor. Overall: it was my second time at thw hotel. I found the staff on the whole help full. when I highlighted the problem with the sheets, the matter was quickly addressed and I was up graded to a much better room. I was disaapointed with there in room dining selection Rated 5 out of 5: Marylebone hotel far exceeded our expectations - recently refurbished, couldn't fault it at all re facilities or service. Candles everywhere which was lovely. Would recommend a street map at first as we got lost first night just going to Oxford Street and many people dont know the street names. Fantastic location for seeing everything. Rated 4 out of 5: We stayed at the Marylebone for one night as we were on a 'girls night out'. The accommodation is very central and only a few minutes walk from Oxford Street. The hotel staff on reception were very welcoming and the hotel provided lots of useful amenities such as a restaurant, bar and health club - although they do not offer Spa treatments. Generally the hotel was well presented and clean. Our room was a smoking room on the 5th floor which is a luxury these days for smokers! It was quite clean, although rather warm and the air conditioning unit was quite noisy. It offered tea and coffee facilities, a paying mini-bar and full bathroom. Some of the bathroom fixtures were a little old and worn, but the towels were nice and clean as was the bed linen. When booked it stated it was a four star hotel - I think it is probably better rated as a very good three star - but it would not deter me from staying there again. Breakfast was overpriced at £17.50 each for a full English - but I guess that's London for you! |
