| Rated 3.6 out of 5: The public areas on the ground floor are welcoming and well designed. We also liked the location close to central London and good transport links. The public areas on the bedroom floors are dark and depressing and are in need of refurbishment. The queues at reception were too long at busy times. Rated 4 out of 5: The hotel was nice clean and quiet just right for the train station and a mile to the theatre - London Palladium. The only complaint with the hotel was breakfast was a little unorganised the tables had not been cleared when we were sat down and the staff were wandering about has if they had only started that morning. Apart from that the Thistle Euston is ok. Rated 3.5 out of 5: Big, busy, characterless hotel (much as I expected) but reasonably handy for Euston and St Pancras. The downside is that it seems to have very thin walls so that although there is no outside noise coming in you can hear everything in the next rooms and passageway. Not great for a peaceful night. Rated 4 out of 5: Stayed here for one night. Excellent location right next to Euston Station along a quiet street that backs onto a little park. Check in was easy, they ask you to pay for your room on arrival not departure. Don't know if this is always the case but it was Wembley Semi Final Weekend and the London Marathon. We stayed in a Deluxe room and I was expecting the WOW factor which I didn't get. It was a bog standard room with a massive bed and plenty of space. The door on the corridors and the decor in the rooms looked tired. There is a safe in the wardrobe, plus and iron, board, hairdryer and tea coffee making facilities. A little shop on the reception. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. |

Rating out of 10: 9 Date stayed: October 2008 review: Stayed here for 2 nights. Although a single room the accommodation was spacious and very comfortable.Room very clean and well equiped, staff excellent. My only complaint would be that the room was situated near a busy road - not a problem when the window closed but rather noisy when open. Overall very good - I'd certainly stay there again. Rating out of 10: 4 Date stayed: July 2008 review: Hotel was Ok but not really the standard you would expect from a 4* hotel, bathroom left a bit to be desired with limescale over the taps and the shower hose. room overall was a bit small and as we were in the centre of the hotel overlooking the courtyard we were woken at 6:30am Saturday and 5:30am Sunday by the bins being rolled out and noisy staff. Restraunt food was good though and the staff were friendly. location is good easy access to the tube for travelling around. Rating out of 10: 2 Date stayed: August 2005 review: I travelled from Australia and stayed in this Hotel overnight. Thank god it was only overnight. The Staff in this hotel are totally hopeless from giving out a key to a room with other occupants, unable to organise a receipt for the inhouse doctor so that a insurance claim can be received for a 200 pound doctor bill that is $500 australian and still waiting, when contacted for a wake up call we were told there was nobody in that room and that we had checked out, porters missed a bag when packing car which was unnoticed until we had arrived at the airport. Bag was received 36 hours later. I would never stay at this hotel again. |
