The hotel staff were excellent. Breakfast was delicious and presented very well. Good location.
We were disappointed with the bathroom which was very cold. This was due to the poor condition of the window. The water took ages to come through warm for us to take a shower or wash in the hand basin. However, would stay again.

Beautiful hotel, lovely location, opposite Hyde Park, about 10 min walk to Marble Arch. Even though the hotel didn't have a twin room that I had booked, for my sister and I, they did everything possible to help, and gave us a very nice bottle of wine, and two single rooms, which were really lovely, with a balcony, but over a really noisy road. The breakfast was gorgeous, wonderful staff, and even though only stayed 1 night, I would recommend this traditional hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble. Very large spacious room and bathroom. Good location close to Lancaster Tube Station. I was hoping there would be a duvet on the bed, however, there wasn't (sheets and blankets only) - so a little disappointing.

Travelled to London with my husband and 5 year old daughter. We stayed in a very spacious room on the 4th floor which was perfect (and both my husband and I felt one of the biggest hotel rooms we've seen in Europe). King size bed and a roll away in the separate sitting area for our daughter. We also had seated , table, chairs and a small desk as well as a view of Hyde Park. Ample storage space. Bathroom was typical of London, tiny. Staff was competent. Hotel was very clean. You can not beat the location! So close to everything. Loved our view of Hyde Park and a very short walk to the tube. Felt very safe, even walking by myself at night. Great pub around the corner (the swan) offered free Internet access and hearty and cheap breakfast! Will be staying here again!

review: My family and I recently stayed at the Thistle Hyde Park. The hotel was fine. We had to move rooms when the toilet above let loose and flooded our bath (while the Wife was on the toliet no less!) She had to ask for an upgraded room and a free dinner. They should have offerred this automatically when something so bad happenned. The room and public spaces were attractive. They need to keep up with maintenenace though. The room needed some touch up paint. For the price it was agood value.
