review: Totally horrible! Have stayed in numerous hotels over the years and for this hotel to hold a 4 star rating it is an absolute joke. Bedroom the size of a shoe box, no hot water for shower in mornings, room freezing cold at night, curtains ripped in main bedroom, shower curtain looked as if it had been hanging from the hotel was first built, reception extremly unpleasant, bathroom walls and ceiling paint flaking off, cracked basin in bathroom. Over priced, shabby excuse of a 4 star hotel.

review: The room was extremely cramped, beds bent in the middle causing unavoidable discomfort. No hot water for three nights of stay. No water at certain times. No driking water provided. Cell phone stolen from room. All areas of the hotel are extremely dirty. Night Manager could offer no solutions. Guest Relations could offer no solutions. We paid over 200 pounds per night, but had no other choice because all hotels were fully booked by then. We made our reservations two weeks prior and the water problem had been occuring for three weeks (as informed by a front desk staff member). I called central reservations the first evening and they said they were unaware of any water problems. They also said there were no other rooms or hotels nearby available.
Throughout all my travels during the past 8 years...I have never had such a poor experience.

review: I read the reviews below after booking my room and was very apprehensive... The hotel is in a great location. The room was good. Everything is London is so expensive--- I'd be afraid to book a hotel with less than four stars if I hadn't stayed there before. The hostess at breakfast was the only person on staff that ever seemed to acknowledge that I'd been staying at the hotel for several days... But again, the location was great, and the accomodations are acceptable..;

review: Overpriced for a shabby room with no breakfast included. Furniture and carpets threadbare. Room small and stuffy with no air conditioning or drinking water provided. Not worth the four star rating or price.

review: Not our original choice (transfered due to reservation problems by another hotel), but very satisfied with hotel. Elegant dining & tea rooms, good room (although it would benefit from double glazing) & coupled by being over the tube station meant access into London attractions were excelent. Like us, if you arrive by car, the NCP car park is 1/2 mile away, but you get a discount voucher from the hotel which makes up for it

review: Horrid stay. Overpriced and they multiple billed my credit card. Am still fighting them about triple billing me for a shoebox sized room. Uncomfortable bed. Poorly fitted window with a view of a brick wall. Breakfast was fine if you like powdered eggs. Staff was incompetent and unhelpful. Only advantage was proximity to Victoria Station.

review: we stayed at the victoria for 11 days. the location was a super convenience. we took the train to and from gatwick air- port. the bus and tube connections were superb. staff was friendly and courteous at all times. we will stay at this hotel on our spring 2005 visit to england, providing you are still on the northwest airline world vacations.

review: Stayed 3 days. Very convenient location, and pleasant staff. Excellent room service. Would stay again. Minor issues: Had initially received confirmation that the standard twin room booked was non-smoking, on arrival told they could not offer this for the first night after all. Had to upgrade for an additional £20 per night to get a non-smoking, "superior" twin room. Note: Room was a lot smaller than expected, and felt quite cramped. When using the desk in the room, it was impossible to pass between it and one of the beds to the rest of the room. Heating was excellent, but had to be maintained at high temperature as there was a constant, strong draft from the window.
