Rated 4.8 out of 5:
The view from the hotel room was amazing, overlooking Tower Bridge... so close you felt that you could reach out and touch it. The other side of the hotel overlooks St Katherine's Dock. The staff were very professional, very helpful and very welcoming. We will definitely be returning.
Although we booked for two people, only enough shower gel/shampoo was provided for one person. A small matter which was soon rectified by the staff.

Rated 4.5 out of 5:
Fantastic views and location. Had a great stay and just a couple of minor suggestions that would have made our stay perfect. No disabled toilet on the ground floor next to the restaurant. The bar shut at 1am on a Friday night and we were with a group of people. There was no where to get a drink after that time in the hotel or surrounds. Usually a night porter is available in a hotel of this size. Sorry but leaving ample supply of milk cartoons and a biscuit in the rooms (particularly deluxe rooms!) is easy and costs next to nothing. Two cartoons per room didn't leave enough for a morning cuppa! The breakfast queue looked horrendous-glad we went to Cafe Rouge around the corner.

Rated 4 out of 5:
Lovely, not expensive and really pleasant. We upgraded our room to a deluxe one, it was fine although the built in furniture was starting to look tired, very scratched etc. Bed really comfy and the bathroom was spotless. Only major point was the front desk staff were not very organised and did not come across as overly friendly. Good location, with lots to do right there and a tube station nearby to access the rest of the city.

review: When we checked in we were given a hard sell to upgrade and basically we were told the better rooms were lovely and newly refurbished and ours was old and tatty. It was slightly better than that. Wallpaper peeling, chipped furniture etc. 'Kingsize' bed was two singles pushed together. Our towels were taken away and not replaced, tea and coffee not refilled, breakfast very low quality and stale croissants. Mini bar left unstocked unless you asked for it to be filled - surely would be sensible to fill it in the first place!? 2 pc's for public use however you have to pay for the priviledge and no leaflets in reception to help tourists. Room service at a ridiculous price £15 for a sandwich!!  Only 4 lifts for a hotel with 800 rooms, always lots of people waiting and the only stairs you can use are in the service quarters and very difficult to find.

The view from the hotel was nice but not worth the price

review: Food very good, excellent carvery however our room was not ready when we arrived. When we eventually got the key our room was very dusty and dowdy. After complaining we were told no other room was available unless we paid £30 per night for an upgrade. The housekeeper arranged for our room to be recleaned, but this meant a further delay of 1 hour before we got into our room.

review: my wife and i are regular visitors to lon don and the tower thistle.it is without a doubt an absolute favourite with us. nice comfy rooms all with good views. we love the rooms facing tower bridge.super breakfasts, comfortable lounge and coffee shop, a bit pricy but it is london after all!! a super bar with great views of the river.
the reception staff are a credit to thistle hotels, and the doormen are a mine of information as are the concierge and his staff.
i do wish though there was a booklet with some facts and figures about the hotel. when built how often it's been used in films and tv. i've seen it in two major films.
all in all though it is a super place to stay and i'd reccomend it highly.
