| Rated 3 out of 5 : I have stayed here a number of times over the years as it is very convenient being most handy for Euston, King's Cross and St Pancras as well as for travelling around London. I have found it serves this purpose and is ok if all you need is a clean, fairly comfortable en-suite room for a night at a reasonable (for London) cost. I don't think this hotel aspires to offer more than this. It is not somewhere to look forward to staying in. Rooms can vary widely regarding noise, my last stay was noisy but on other occasions other rooms were quieter. The air-conditioning never seems to work anywhere. The Premier Inn nearby is more expensive but a lot more comfortable and a much nicer hotel around in my experience. Rated 4 out of 5 : We stayed here for one night before catching the Eurostar to Paris the following day and picked it mainly for its proximity to St Pancras International and for the price. It wasn’t cheap for what you got, but considerably cheaper on that particular night than the other options around and about. We were checked in by very friendly Reception staff and allocated a basement room which, like other reviewers have noted, was incredibly quiet. Being a Travelodge, we were not expecting luxury and had realistic expectations, which were adequately met. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was one of the comfiest I’ve slept in for a long time! The breakfast buffet was great, with a good choice of cereals, pastries and enough hot options to keep you going for the day. Sometimes the quality of Travelodge's isn’t great, but this is definitely one of the better ones. All in all, we were very satisfied with our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again, should the need arise. Rated 4 out of 5 : I have stayed here before on my own so I knew what to expect from this hotel but this time I took my 6 year old son. I was very lucky last time to have a room at the back of the hotel and therefore quiet but this time I had a room overlooking the road and it was quite noisy. You could hear traffic, sirens all night. Luckily my son sleeps very well so he didn't wake up at all either of the 2 nights we were there. I would request a back room if I stayed there again. The location of the hotel is very good as it is just across the road from the underground station and this is the main reason I book this hotel. The breakfast was great value as you get a child's breakfast free when paying for a adult and my son certainly got his money's worth!! I would definitely stay here again. Rated 4 out of 5 : Travelodge promise a room, a good bed, a private bathroom and a continental breakfast, and that is exactly what you get. The price is reasonable and the cleanliness of the room makes the whole deal good value. The breakfast was even better than expected from a budget priced continental. And express check-in (self service) worked fine. Service was ok. The remote to my TV was missing, and I had to ask twice to get one. But other than that, nothing to remark regarding the service level. Rated 3 out of 5 : Basic but clean and great value for money. Stayed with a friend and our 2 young daughters for 2 nights. Had a room facing Euston Road the first night and managed about 1 hours sleep max - horns, sirens, buses outside the window all night and the double glazing was shockingly poor as we could hear people's footsteps out on the pavement. They moved us the next morning to a much quieter room and we had a blissful nights sleep. Moral of story - email ahead and ask for a room that does not face onto the street! |
