| Rated 3 out of 5 : I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks while finding a place to live in London once I came back from a year working abroad. Initially i was booked into the Brentford/Kew Travelodge which was pretty horrible, I mean budget almost did not do it justice. In fairness I was put in a room right next to the generator (asked them to move and they could only do that the next day). The bed was the worst, the mattress almost sunk to the floor underneath me. By the next day I moved to the one in Fulham having read the reviews which were much more positive, in particular relating to the age of the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised with the Fulham hotel, being 1 year old, it is still budget but everything is brand new, clean, decent bed, flatscreen TV and a nice shower. The are is not fantastic but you are in between Fulham, Chiswick and Kensington, all lovely areas. A Travelodge Fulham guest gave the hotel 4 out of 5 and wrote: Myself and my mum booked this Travelodge in advance. Bargain!! Great location, 10 mins walk from Fulham Broadway or West Brompton tubes, bus stops nearby with buses going to Piccadilly etc. Our room was to the front and was a little noisy, however this did not put us off. Big size family room, very clean. Basic, but what do you need? Only slight downsides were room was very cold - however staff put the heaters on while we were out on one occasion and was cosy when we returned, and also staff dont really have any local knowledge - receptionist hadn't heard of Harrods!! Lots of eating places nearby and the best by far for breakfast is Get Fresh - turn right out of the hotel and it is a very short walk - they do the BEST eggs Benedict. I would definitely stay here again. A guest rated the stay as 4 out of 5 : This is only 8 minutes from Fulham Broadway Tube station in a lovely and safe area. We arrived late at 11 pm -- buzzed to get in and got a family room with a double bed and a pull out bed. All spotless but beware there are no soaps and shampoo!!. You can buy them in the reception in a machine which we did. Slept well and had a lovely bath in the morning all ready for a day at the Good Food Show. We got a daily pass on the Tube for £5.50. We went to Le Pain Quotidian in Parsons Green for breakfast which was a real treat. Expensive but excellent in a lovely part of London and only a stop on the Tube. All in all, the Travelodge exceeded our expectations at 67 euro per night . !! |

| Rating out of 10: 2 Date stayed: May 2010 review: Arrived at 1 30 pm from airport and at check in was asked had we paid the extra 10pounds to check in before 3 00pm, I said no as we did not see any information regarding this fee on the web site. The clerk said sorry but it is not on the website and they do not have anywhere that I could store my luggage. Being familar with the area we went and carried our luggage out to a nearby cafe and waited until 3 00pm.When we went back at 3 00pm we asked for a early morning call as we had to get to the airport, we were told that if the clerk was not busy they would knock on our room, so we went out and bought an alarm clock! Yes they did knock on our room in the morning. The room was clean and tidy. I would hate a first time visitor think that this is what to expect from Travelodge UK. |
