| Rated 4 out of 5 : We stayed on a Saturday night before an early morning flight and were pleasantly surprised by this Travelodge. The hotel is right beside junction 14 of the M25 and having looked at Google maps we found it easily enough. A couple of direction signs would be a help. Parking was easy and being able to pay for the parking on your mobile saves hunting for £5 in coins. Check-in was quick and straight forward. When my son asked for a room where he could watch the planes take off and land they switched our room and gave us a bag of bedding and towels to take up to the room. We had pre-booked a 2 course evening meal for £6 when we booked the room. This was excellent value and the food was pretty good. £14 for a bottle of wine seemed a bit steep at the time but then it is London. The atmosphere in the Cafe Bar was quite lively with several other families eating. The rooms are a bit cosy for 4, but we all slept well and after a hot powerful shower we headed for Terminal 5 for our flight. Less than 15 minutes after leaving the hotel we had parked the car and were checking-in for our flight. As has been said before this is perfect for an overnight stop en route to the airport. I think it is a bargain and the pre-booked meal is great value. I have stayed at several Travelodge's over the years and this is one of the better ones. Rated 3 out of 5 : Stayed here a couple of times over the summer months whilst visiting the likes of legoland and Thorpe park, both about fifteen minutes away. Family rooms were clean and spacious. Service was ok, no noise from the airport and the parking was just £5 overnight, so overall a cheap and cheerful stay. Rated 3 out of 5 : It was convenient to be able to stay in the travel lodge at Heathrow Airport. It was near our friends house where the party was being held. However, the room was very sparse and the place where the breakfast was held was more like a works canteen than a restaurant. However, it was suitable for what we wanted but I would not want to spend a lot of time there. |
