| Rated 3 out of 5: Booked the room as it was really cheap only £19 per night inc VAT but room only. The room was very basic, clean but extremely hot and it was impossible to sleep. The bathroom floor would need a good clean as it was a bit dirty but did not spoil my stay. Staff was not very friendly which was disappointing. The hotel did have irons but not ironing board but still managed to iron the blouse on the top of the desk. If you are looking for only a bed to sleep, doesn't need early check in or late check out this hotel is fine. We checked in after 1pm and checked out at 2pm and there was total of £20 charge. Location is excellent as the hotel is located at central Kingston and the bus stop to the Heathrow is about 5 minutes walk. A Travelodge Kingston Upon Thames guest rated the hotel as 3 out of 5: I stayed here to visit my son at Kingston Uni. I don't expect much when travelling and this room was just fine for my 5 night stay. My only complaint was the club noise that started at 10:30 p.m. and went on until about 3:00 a.m. Room 122, I later found out, was right near the entrance to the club. Otherwise, I loved the location - near the shops, grocery store, rail & bus stations, pubs, etc. I would stay here again, but ask for a higher room and nothing on the "20's" side of the building. If you opted for the breakfast (I didn't), you had to walk to the other Travelodge in town (not far at all) for that. Rated 3 out of 5: Well knowing the area quite well i know its noiseyish at night so it was to be expected, although there were some good points about maybe double glazing should have been installed for the relief of some customers. As for the noise, i guess it depends what night you stay so like pot luck. People arent going to stop going out and its not the staffing that is causing the problems outside. It was good to be able to be near things so you could just pop out and get it and come back. Didn't eat as i went out for breakfast. But im sure i will try it next time and give a review. The whole room/bathroom was pretty clean, could have been a little better but no one is perfect. Maybe i should have expected more but with the price i didn't really mind. although if things were really bad i would have said something. |
