A past guest rated the hotel at 3 out of 5 and commented:
We stayed here on Saturday 1st November 08. Check in was fine. Receptionist was very pleasant. The room we had (#6) was a 1st floor room. I can fully appreciate the comments made by reviewers regarding creaky floors! Good Bathroom, excellent shower, sadly not in a cubicle, but in the bath. Water pressure was very good, but we were worried of flooding the bathroom, due to the inadequate shower screen on the bath. The bed was very good, indeed. Furnishings in the room seemed quite new. We didn't eat here, but had a couple of dri ks in the bar. The Lady serving was also very polite and welcoming. There were a couple of weird things about the place. To enter our room, we needed to go up a flight of stairs, at the base of the stirs was a room which we were not sure was part of our 'executive' room. It seemed to be a sitting room and a kitchen, but was very messy and had a TV in pieces on the floor. On the Sunday morning at 10.30am, the Maid walked into our room, offered some kind of comment and walked out. Very strange. And finally, what is it with the blue pipes running around the entire building? Sewerage? Drinking water? Who knows! Overall, a clean place in a very isolated position. Lovely and quiet!
