Wow ! It was out of this world. Well not your usual 4-5 star. I probably will never have the chance to return unless I win the big one! Try and find the Guinea pub only two hundred yards away it's a real find.

I always enjoy staying at the Westbury! Sophisticated, yet understated quality. Staff are very attentive, friendly, yet not intrusive. Rooms are well presented, clean and the facilities are good. Nothing too fancy.....but there is an air of quality. I like it! The Polo Bar is exquisite.  I would recommend.

We stayed at the Westbury on 5th March for one night.
This was the first time we had stayed in London so didn't know what to expect. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by very friendly and polite staff. Our room was on the second floor. The rooms are very clean although a little on the small side. Bathroom was very nice with smellies already waiting for us. The only thing the room lacked was tea/coffee making facilities.
Our room faced out onto the street which during the day is very busy. We did not hear the traffic noise at night and both of us had a very good nights sleep as the hotel was generally very quiet.
The hotel is within walking distance of Regents Street and Oxford Street. It took us about fifteen minutes to walk to the Theatre which was in Old Crompton Street where we watched Jersey Boys.
Breakfast was included in the price of our room. Although it was quite busy by the time we got down to breakfast (about nine o'clock) we were well looked after with coffee, orange juice and it wasnt long before our cooked breakfast arrived which was delicious.
We did visit the Polo Club during the evening but found the club very expensive - it was about double the price of the pubs/theatre price for drinks which was a little disappointing.
All in all a fantastic weekend at a brilliant hotel. If I were to stay in London again I would definitely use the Westbury.

A Westbury Mayfair hotel guest gave the stay at 4 out of 5:
We had a 2 night stay at the Westbury over the New Year. The reception and consierge were very efficient and friendly. Our room on the 6th floor was a little on the small side but very elegantly furnished and decorated. The bathroom was also small but very tastefully designed and equipped. The built in wardrobe was big enough for a short stay and included a trouser press and safety deposit box. Plenty of drawer space in the bedroom furniture. As seems usual (in our experience of city hotels) no drink making facilities are provided in the room. We didn't take breakfast in the hotel due to it costing £23.50 per person but we did use the bar briefly on both nights of our stay. The drinks are very expensive even by Mayfair standards.....£48 for 4 drinks, and 1 of those was a coffee!!!!!!!!!!!! Would stay there again as the location is great.

Rated 4 out of 5:
We had booked a 4 star hotel near Covent Garden through a discount company and were"upgraded" to the Westbury which our taxi driver thought was a much better place to stay. The staff were very much 5 star as was the location but some of the rest of our experiences were not. Our room was nice, spotlessly clean and very comfy bed and pillows but bathroom very average with large crack on the floor and towels were hard and not good quality ,however the biggest disappointment was the breakfast. On the first morning the tea and toast came 5 or more minutes after our cooked eggs were served and on our second morning our tea, sausages and black pudding were all served cool and again toast came much later than the cooked food. This certainly coloured our experience, we were paying nothing like the rack rate and we had managed to get breakfast included ,but be aware if paying full price as the "best meal of the day " may not be.
