Rated 4 out of 5:
We stayed in the Yotel twice once on the way to our holiday and once on the way back.
Finding the hotel
This is quite difficult as it is not well signed around the airport (more in favour of the Sofitel). however once we arrived at the entrance it was lovely everything was lit in very relaxing purple lighting with lavender air freshener being circulated.
Checking in
This was very easy and painless you also have the added perk of being able to use your booking reference as gaining access to their WiFi.
The Room (1st Night)
Stay we had a top level in a standard cabin, this seemed great until it came to sleeping on it when it dawned on us that it is actually a long way down should you fall.... All the cabins have flat screen TV's at the end of the bed which are brilliant you have the option of TV, radio, email, or on demand albums to listen to. We found the bed fine to share if you like to sleep close together however the room was very hot even with the air con turned to cold. we also found that the glass door for the bathroom does not fully close which is strange. The room & sheets were spotless.
2nd Night (2 Weeks Later)
We were dreading the thought of having a top level again as it wasn't a great nights sleep however we were given a lower level bed...... Much better! The temperature of the room was perfect and had a great sleep again spotless.
Optional Extras
You do have a number of options, such as shampoo & conditioner, toothpaste, hair dryers, alarm clock, and breakfast for a small fee, that you can request when checking in.
overall I would stay again as it is good value for money and is a very modern and interesting hotel, would ask for a bottom level bed.

A Yotel Gatwick guest gave their stay a 5 out of 5 rating and said:
We had a 7 hour wait in Gatwick airport after a 10 hour flight from Cancun, so needless to say we were exhausted on arrival. I had read a review about the Yotel months previously so we booked a Premium Cabin for 4 hours from 11.30am - 3.30pm on a Monday, which was only approx £39. It was quite clearly signposted as soon as you enter the arrivals hall (big sign above a double lift beside Costa Coffee) You take the lift to the ground floor (and omg it was soooo quiet down there, world away from the hustle & bustle of the airport) We used the auto check in & got our key card from Reception (or the Galley as its called). The general areas of the Yotel were very clean and quiet, we didn't see anyone else bar the staff as we were checking in. The room was small (obv) but perfectly formed. We had 2 massive suitcases which slotted fine side by side under the bed. The sofa folded down at the touch of a button into a fairly good sized double bed (Im 5'8'' and my partner is 5'11'' and we had enough room to stretch out) What was fantastic was that it was very VERY quiet, both in the room and outside in the hallways. Im a very light sleeper & even I fell asleep immediately. The bathroom is a great size as well considering. We didn't use the shower (slept too long!) but there are 2 big fluffy towells & even a little sliding blind to give you some privacy. There is a little booklet advising you how to work the TV/Bed etc & letting you know you can borrow an alarm clock as well for the stay. The TV has pretty much all the freeview channels and there is even Room Service at good prices from what I remember, selling everything from light breakfast to full meals and bottles of wine. And there is (in this cabin anyway) a wee fold out desk & fold out chair which you could use for eating on. However just bought some sandwiches & snacks at the M&S Food Court in Arrivals, they didn't seem to mind & even gave us spoons for our yogurts. We got pretty good mobile reception down there as well. Checking out was simple, just hand the key into the Galley & away you go. I loved it, the bed was comfy and I got a great sleep. For us it was fantastic value for money & invaluable simply for the fact it was somewhere to get a few hours shut eye & get away from all the noise. I got on my 5pm flight to Glasgow feeling MUCH more refreshed than if I had sat in the airport lounge chairs for 7 hours
