The Academy Town House
Hotel London is located on Gower Street, a busy road but
with good bus, tube and taxi links to the rest of London. This
is a central location just the North East of centre. At the
bottom of Gower Street is the start of the west end with Soho,
oxford Street and Covent garden all walking distance from the
bottom of Gower Street. This also a good location if you need
access to the City of London being close to Holborn. To the
north is Regents Park. Nearest attractions include Trocadero
Centre, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Madame Taussauds,
Downing Street, British Museum and National Gallery. This boutique town house hotel is a collection of 5 Georgian town houses originally built in 1776. Each guestroom and suite has been Individually designed and decorated many of them have retained their original Georgian features. Some rooms feature their very own split level bathrooms with free standing claw Footbaths. All rooms are discretely equipped for the business traveller and feature all the comforts of a luxury hotel. The academy hotel boasts cosy lounges/Roaring fires and even two private gardens. The contemporary Alchemy restaurant allows guests to enjoy a leisurely breakfast with offerings including a freshly baked continental buffet or a traditional English breakfast. In the evening, the Alchemy Bar makes for a great meeting point before an evening out or for a post theatre nightcap. Deep cushioned sofas, small private corners and friendly staff, give the bar a very relaxed atmosphere. For the guest requiring meeting spaces there are three well appointed meeting rooms including the charming Boardroom and the cosy Library. There is also the informal Conservatory adjoining one of the gardens, which lends itself perfectly to private entertaining. |
