Kings Cross itself does have amenities such as bars and restaurants but is somewhat downmarket compared to the more central areas. The West End and main nightlife is starts around Covent Garden at just over 1 mile to the south west. Nearest attraction include British Library (0.3 miles), Dickens House (0.3 miles), British Museum (0.8 miles), Design centre (0.8 miles), Petrie Egyptian Archaeology Museum (0.8 miles) and Oxford Street (1 mile).
