The Ascot Hyde park Hotel London is
situated very close to Paddington Train station. From here you
can catch a direct service to and from Heathrow Airport. The
location is close to the heart of London, slightly NW from the
centre. A short walk away is Hyde Park while shopping, bars and
cafes can be found close by at Westbourne Grove, Queensway,
Notting Hill and Kensington. This a is a popular area to make a
base for a sightseeing holiday in London. Local transport
facilities are good. Craven Road itself itself is a busy road with many taxis
passing by. The hotel is a traditional style townhouse hotel featuring a stuccoed façade and rooms have wrought iron balconies. All rooms have private bathroom facilities (shower/bath or just a shower). In-room amenities include colour TV, coffee/tea facilities, safe, hairdryer, direct telephone lines and central heating. Room configurations include doubles, twins, triples and quads. Onsite is the Maxim Restaurant. With an informal atmosphere, bright setting and serving a Mediterranean menu using fresh ingredients. The restaurant has a good wine list and diners can choose from Brassiere style or A La Carte. There is also a selection of pastas and sandwiches. Open: 07.30 till midnight (till 23.30 Sunday). Hotel facilities include a Lounge bar (called West 11 and open till late) and also a lounge which features a satellite plasma TV. There is a concierge at the hotel who can help with trip planning. The hotel has 24 hour access. WiFi can be picked up throughout the hotel. There is a single lift which serves all but the top floor. |
