Local places of interest include Waytemore Castle and Gardens (1.5 miles) ( Norman stone motte and bailey fortress), Bishops Stortford History Museum (1.8 miles), House on the Hill Toy Musuem (1.9 miles), Mountfitchet Castle (1.9 miles) (accurate reconstruction of the 1066 castle and settlement).
