Introduction: Approximately 15-20 minutes by car from
Stansted Airport and situated in the Essex countryside is the Stansted Skyline
Hotel. Hotel is by the A120 and some 8 miles from the M11. The hotel is by the
small village of Barnston with a population of around 1000. The surro0unding
area is mostly countryside. The nearest town is Great Dunmow, some two miles to
the south west, which is famous for the Flitch Trials. Held once every 4 years a
married couple are tasked with convincing a jury of 6 single females and 6
single males that they have not wanted to be divorced a single day. The town has
some local amenities such as shops and restaurants. Some local places of
interest include Great Dunmow Museum (1.4 miles) and the 400 years old Gardens
of Easton Lodge (3.6 miles).

The Stansted Skyline Hotel is a family run hotel.
All rooms are En-suite (power shower, fresh towels) with modern furnishings, TV, tea and
coffee making facilities, radio, WiFi and direct-dial telephone. Hairdryer, Iron
and ironing board can be requested.
Some budget rooms are located at the hotels annexe accommodation which is 1 mile
from the main hotel. A free transfer service operates between annexe and hotel.
Onsite amenities include a well stocked hotel bar (open till midnight) with a
terrace where you can sit out weather permitting, and the onsite 'Monsoon
Restaurant' serving Indian cuisine and open 18.00 till 23.30.
Reception open 24 hours. Smoking is not allowed anyway within the hotel. WiFi
can be picked up in public areas .
How To Get There: From junction 8 of M11, join A120
East towards Chelmsford, bypassing Stansted Airport. Follow for approximately 5
miles. Exit at Dunmow South and follow over roundabouts towards Chelmsford
A130. The Bushel Sack Hotel is on your left at the top of the hill as you enter
the village of Barnston.
Shuttle: The hotel operates a shuttle service to/from
Stansted Airport starting at 04.00 am and running till midnight every 30 minutes
(on request from the airport, Telephone hotel upon arrival for transfer. Ppick
up area is in Bay 36 in Coach and Bus Station). Cost £4.50 pp each way.
