| Introduction:
Just
off of Sloane Street and between Knightsbridge and Belgravia is the
Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel London. This is an upmarket area with world
famous shopping close by at Knightsbridge, Kings Road
Chelsea and Sloane Street itself. Knightsbridge is perhaps best
known as the location of Harrods Department Store where its said its possible to
buy just about anything, albeit at a price. This central location affords easy access to all of the
many attractions London has to offer, with
Hyde Park a short
walk away to the North (0.3 miles). Belgravia which is to the East of the
hotel has some of the most expensive residential homes to be found anywhere in
the UK. Cadogan Place is quite busy although its really a side street as it a
major cut through for traffic avoiding Knightsbridge. Less than a mile to the
South East is Victoria station. One of London's 5 major national train stations
and the starting point for the Gatwick Express, which runs non-stop out to
Gatwick Airport. To the West of the hotel is South Kensington, yet another area
known for its fashionable and upmarket shops. The hotel faces Cadogan
Place which is a beautiful square of with maintained private gardens in the
middle, including a pair
of tennis courts, surrounded by houses to one side and Sloane Street to the
other. Some other local attractions include
Wellington Arch (0.4 miles), Apsley
House (0.5 miles),
Victoria and Albert Museum (0.6 miles),
Science Museum (0.7
miles), Queens Gallery (0.7 miles),
Albert Memorial (0.7 miles) and the
Natural
History Museum (0.8 miles). Hotel: |
