The Comfort Inn Vauxhall is situated south of the River Thames. Just 1/3rd of a
mile from Vauxhall bridge making access to the
north side of the River is very easy. Very convenient for the cricket matches
that take place less than half a mile away at the Kennington Oval. There are a
good range of amenities in the surrounding areas with the hotel being situated
between to high streets along Clapham Road and Wandsworth Road. There are also
several nearby attractions. The
Tate Britain Art
Gallery is just on the other side of Vauxhall Bridge along the Millbank and
houses over 500 years of historical works. 1 mile along the Albert Embankment is
Lambeth Palace, the London residence for the Archbishop of Canterbury. A mile
south of the hotel on Stockwell Road is the O2 Brixton Academy which is a major
music venue. Close to the hotel (0.3 miles) along Nine Elms Lane is the Club
Colleseum, an air conditioned night club with House and Garage music. Nice Elms
also the site for the New Covent Garden Market, a 56 acre wholesale fruit,
vegetable and flower market. Other local places of interest include the Vauxhall
City Farm (0.5 miles), Type Museum (0.6 miles), Battersea Power Station and the
Museum of Garden History (1 mile).
