The Crowne Plaza Hotel London
City is located in Blackfriars which is located between the City
of London and the West end Tourist areas and very close to the
River Thames. These include Soho and Covent Garden which are a
short taxi ride away. Just near the Junction with Blackfriars
Bridge this good access to South London and areas such as
Southwark and Waterloo. Nearby attractions include St Paul's
Cathedral, Cleopatra's Needle, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre,
Southwark Cathedral, HMS Belfast, London Dungeon, London Eye
(Millennium Wheel) and Tate Modern. The Crowne Plaza London - The City, built from the shell of a beautiful building on a historical site dating back to the time of Henry VIII offers the modern comforts and facilities you would expect from a deluxe property today. All the 203 guest rooms feature a state-of-the-art Genesis in-room television entertainment system offering high-speed Internet access and pay movies. You can also choose from a range of CDs to play music or just watch terrestrial or satellite TV, including non-English language options. All rooms are also double glazed and with air conditioning. Other features include laptop compatible in room safe. Guest floors are only accessible if you hold a checked in guest room key. High speed internet access is additionally available via modem point. Additional facilities include 2 telephone lines, Mini bar, Tea and coffee making facilities, Bathrobes and hairdryers, Iron, ironing board and trouser press. The hotel has two restaurants and a stylish bar. Refettorio restaurant: Italian Cuine. Refettorio is split into two complementary dining areas. Convivium is at the front and offers a large, spacious open plan area featuring mixed seating at banquettes. Up three steps from Convivium is a smaller area for more private dining. Refettorio is open Monday to Friday for lunch from 12.00pm with last orders at 2.30pm, and Monday to Saturday for dinner from 6.30pm with last orders at 10.30pm. Bar 606: A jazz-themed bar and is an offshoot of Chelsea's famous 606 Club. Benugo café & deli: split into two unique areas. If you are in a hurry or just want a quick sandwich, try the deli counter, with freshly prepared sandwiches and salads off the shelf or made to order. If you have a little more time, why not sit down in the cafe and enjoy the best of cafe dining in an exciting and modern environment. Open: Deli. Monday to Sunday - 6:00 am to 11:00 pm Cafe. Monday to Friday, Breakfast - 6:00 am to 10:30 am, Lunch - 12:00 noon to 2:30 pm, Dinner - 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm Saturday and Sunday - Breakfast - 7:00 am to 11:30 am, Lunch - 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm, Dinner - 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm Room Service: 24-hour In-room Dining menu in room. The meeting facilities include an Executive Boardroom and main conference suites for up to 180 delegates seated theatre style. The Business Centre has four individual workstations with a choice of plug-in laptop facilities or static PC. The Centre provides secretarial and business support services, including high-speed Internet access for delegates and residents. There is even a dedicated interview room within this area for our business guests to use. The Crowne Plaza City also features the Spirit Workout and sauna to help you relax after a busy day.
