Introduction: The Days Hotel London North (formerly London
Gateway) is located by the M1 Motorway by Scratchwood services area. The M1
gives access all the way to the north of England and into Scotland. Access into
London itself is also easy with the A41 Hendon Way dual carriageway linking from
junction 1 of the M1 motorway into central London. Being located within a
service station means you have access to the services within the main area which
includes fast food restaurants, video games area and newsagents. It also means
access to and from the hotel for the nearby towns is limited. In reality you
will normally need to arrange a taxi from reception for the nearest main areas
of Hendon, Mill Hill and Edgware. The rear entrance of the hotel leads onto a
residential part of Edgware. Also accessible from this location are points of
interest such as
Wembley
Stadium which is just 5 miles form here and by road an easy journey via the
A406 North Circular Road. At the bottom of the M1 an 3.5 miles from the hotel is
the major shipping centre of
Brent Cross. Here
you will find a large range if amenities including small and large shops and
stores and a good selection of restaurants. Access into London itself is also
easy with the A41 Hendon Way dual carriageway linking from junction 1 of the M1
motorway into central London. The location would suit anyone needing good road
links to areas north of London or quick access to the M25. It would not be the
best location for visitors wanting access to the very central parts of London
which is some 9.6 miles from here. Other local places of interest include the
RAF museum (2
miles).

A modern hotel the Days Hotel London North was built in 2002. This is actually
one of the largest Days Inn properties within Europe.
