Introduction: The Radisson New Providence Wharf is
situated in the North East corner of the London Docklands (Isle of Dogs) close
to the Northern entrance to the Blackwall Tunnel. The Docklands has grown from a
project to convert warehouses into homes to one of the most desirable areas to
live in London and a base for many of the worlds leading companies. The hotel
is part of the Ontario Tower construction, a 104 meter high 31 floor tower block
of luxury top of the range apartments and connects to the tower via a glass
atrium. This in turn is part of the New Providence Wharf project which is a
large area of over 1000 modern apartments and residences alongside the River
Thames and with a landscaped gardens. Just across the other side of the River is
the O2 Millennium Dome. The Canary Wharf Tower and Canada Square where many
large international companies have offices is just half a mile to the West.
This location is also very convenient for London City Airport which is an easy
journey by road along Aspen Way and the A1020 at 2.4 miles away. This location
is in East London which is also the venue for the 2012 Olympics.
The Olympic Stadium
is 2.3 miles to the North. The major exhibition centre of Excel is 1.6 miles
from here. Within 300 yards walk is a McDonalds Restaurant and Billingsgate
Market (the UK's largest fish market away from the coast) is just 500 yards from
the hotel. Other local places of interest include the Museum of the Docklands
(0.7 miles),
Cutty
Sark (1.6 miles), National Maritime Museum (1.6 miles) and the
Greenwich Royal Observatory (1.9 miles).
Hotel:
The Radisson New Providence Wharf is a modern purpose built hotel that
features the use of curved glass and stainless steel and is themed to reflect
its Riverside location. Its located by a tranquil bend in the River Thames, the
river that runs through the middle of London and provides bur services and
leisure trips.
Bedrooms are contemporary in style with high tech amenities, air-conditioning and all are
decorated slightly differently in their use of colour and furnishings. In your
room you'll find a high quality entertainment system, minibar, iron, trouser
press, laptop size safe, free high speed WiFi internet access, tea/coffee maker, desk,
iPod dock/mp3 connection, cable TV (wall mounted B&O)
with pay movies. Rooms are en-suite with marble bathrooms (wet rooms) that includes a
hairdryer, bath and walk-in shower.
All rooms are at least twenty five square
meters or more and are triple glazed with windows that can be opened by the
guest.

Dining:
Onsite is the hotels own 100 seat Azura brasserie restaurant and bar which is
adjacent to the lobby and has views over the River Thames. Serves a modern
seasonally changing menu using British ingredients. The
setting includes floor to ceiling windows and an alfresco terrace with seating
for 45 and a nice touch are the sofas for relaxing.
On the first floor is the Canary Wharf Cocktail bar a terrace with views of the
River Thames and the lobby below.
Business travellers will be pleased to know that there is a dedicated business
centre that remains open 24 hours. The hotel meeting rooms can cater for up to
200 delegates at a time.
The Radisson new Providence Wharf hotel features the 4,000 sq ft East River Spa health Club where you will
find a well equipped gymnasium, stone oven sauna, steam room, 6 sensation shower
rooms, a relaxation room and seven rooms for beauty treatments (massages,
facials and body therapies). The spa occupies all of the first floor of the
Ontario Tower.
Complimentary web printing service available throughout the hotel as is wireless
internet access. 'In hotel' mobile phones are available on request.
Luggage may be left with concierge. Currency exchange and valet laundry services
available.
Many guests will be wanting to travel between the hotel and Canary Wharf. To
this end there is a shuttle serve that operates from the New Providence Wharf
Hotel to Canary Wharf every 20 minutes from 6.40am until 9.20am and drop off at
Canada Square and Bank Street.
