Whether for business or pleasure, being close to London city
airport and excellent local transportation links make the Express by
Holiday Inn London-Stratford a good base. Just 0.4 miles from
the main Stratford shopping centre with its good selection of shops, amenities
and bus and train stations (less than ten minutes walk). For guests travelling
from the M11, M2, M20, London City Airport or A406, the hotel is situated north
of the Dartford tunnel on the A11, just off the A12 Bow interchange. This location is in
East London, 3.5 miles from the heart of the
City of London, 2.5
miles from the centre of the
Docklands/Canary Wharf area and 2.5 miles from the
ExCel Exhibition Centre. Nearby
attractions include the Asian geared Queens market at Green Street E13 (1.9
miles), Museum of the Docklands (2.1 miles),
Tower of London
(3.6 miles). St
Katherine's Dock (3.6 miles),
Cutty Sark (3.7
miles) and the
Design Museum (3.7 miles). The Express Stratford is a modern and stylish hotel, built in 2002 to a very high quality and simple style. The hotel is run on a relaxed and informal approach to customer service, believing that you should feel at home from the moment you walk in the door, for the first or fiftieth time. Bedroom amenities include Sky TV with pay movies, coffee & tea making facilities, double glazed windows that open, power shower, direct-dial telephone, hairdryer, air-conditioning, iron and ironing board, desk and high speed internet access. The Great Room on the ground floor is the hotel restaurant. Here a limited a La Carte menu is served from 18:30 until 21:30 Monday to Thursday. The restaurant also serves breakfast. There is a choice at breakfast time from a menu that includes fruit juice, tea and coffee, toast, Danish pastries, croissants, cereals, yoghurts and fruit segments. There is also a bar that is open from 11.00 till 1:00 hrs each day for hotel guests only. The bar is fully licensed with a range of wines, beers and soft drinks. The hotel also has arrangements with local restaurants for a take-away and eat service for the benefit of hotel guests. The staff are happy to advise first time visitors to London of the best places to eat and see. Public areas of the hotel are all air-conditioned for your comfort. The front reception is staffed 24 hours a day and has safety deposit box facilities for guest use. Photocopy, email and fax facilities are also available. For the business traveller the hotel has a meeting room that can accommodate up to 35 guests theatre style. Supplied equipment includes Flip Chart and Markers, Overhead Projector, VCR and Whiteboard. |

| Directions: Hotel is located on the A11 High Street Stratford at the
junction with Carpenters Road. From the south the nearest crossing point is the
A2/A102 and then the Blackwall Tunnel. Keep straight after the tunnel on the !2
till you hit the A11, at which take a right and hotel is a mile down on the
left. From the North head for the M11 motorway and/or the A406 which takes onto the A12. This time its a left turn off of the A12 to the A11. From the east head in on the M25 and then the A12. Follow signs for Stratford and the A11. Hotel is a little way past the main shopping centre. From the West ( Heathrow) head for central London and then the City of London. Pickup the A11 from Whitechapel by Aldgate Station. |
