The Gateway Hotel is located in Balham on the South side
of the River Thames and close to the very popular Clapham Common. Its also well
within walking distance (2 minutes) of Clapham South tube station which is part
of the Northern Line and runs up to north London without a requiring a change.
The hotel is just over 4 miles from the very tourist heart of London and the
West End. Just 350 yards from the large open spaces of Clapham Common. In the
surrounding area is a good selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and other
amenities. Nearby attractions include the Black Cultural Archives Museum (1.81
miles) an Wimbledon Tennis (2.96 miles). The Gateway Hotel is privately run.
