Introduction: The Copthorne Gatwick Hotel offers something more than most of the hotels serving the airport. Although its only just over 2 miles from the airport (closest top to the South terminal) the hotel is set in its own extensive grounds that cover more than 100 acres. The gardens of the hotel are scenic and landscaped with ducks in the pond right in front of the hotel. The building itself has a long history and was constructed from a 16 century farmhouse. Copthorne golf club is less than a mile from here. Other local attractions include Hawth Theatre (2.6 miles), Arctic Jungle Playcentre (2.8 miles), County Mall Shopping centre (2.9 miles), Crawley leisure park (3 miles) where you can spend some time bowling among other amenities there. Tilgate Park and its 400 acres of grounds, golf course and nature centre is 3.5 mile from the hotel.
  The Copthorne Hotel Gatwick is on a site that was once part of a farmhouse going right back to the 1500's so the grounds are steeped in history. Today the hotel is a small complex with the rooms being within a main building and further annexe.

The Brasserie restaurant: Buffet and a la carte. More casual dining that the Lin D' Or. Breakfast is both continental and Full English. Wide and varied menu which includes American, Cajun, Chinese, French, Indian, Italian and Mexican cuisine. The restaurant provides and informal atmosphere. Open: Breakfast 06:00 till 10:30 (Sunday and bank holidays from 07.00), Lunch noon till 14.00, Dinner 18.30 till 21.30. Kids high chairs are provided.
White Swan Pub: The hotels Traditional feel bar with views out over the hotels pond. The pub also serves light meals and pub snacks. This part of the hotel was part of the original 16 century farmhouse and features an open fireplace. Open: noon till 23.00 (Sunday and bank holidays till 22.30).
