With stunning views over Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens is the Hilton Hyde Park hotel. It sits opposite the extensive open park areas of Kensington Gardens
which merges seamlessly with Hyde Park. A great place for al ages with plenty to do and see within the parks. There are several snack bars and restaurants, many
statues and landscaped gardens, play areas, boat hire, horse riding, sports a gallery and it includes the Princess Diana Memorial Gardens. The hotel is
situated adjacent to Queensway (the name of the adjcent road, the adjacent tube
station and the surrounding area) where the popular Whitley's shopping arcade is located along with a long high street of shops and an ice skating rink.
Its also walking distance to Marble Arch and Oxford Street (just over a mile), another great shopping area. A short walk in the other direction, West, is Notting
Hill, now quite a chic place to been seen and shop in, and home to many celebrities. There are two underground stations nearby offering easy access to the city and the west end. This area while part of
central London is a little away from the very centre areas where the main nightlife is located. That would be around Piccadilly Circus which is 2.3 miles
from here, 5 stops and around 13 minutes by tube. Kensington High Street is just over half a mile to the south on the other side of Kensington Gardens. Local places of interest: Kensington Palace (0.4 miles), Portobello Road Antiques Market (0.5 miles), Alexandra Fleming laboratory (0.7 miles) and the Royal Albert Hall (arts and music venue) (0.7 miles). The Hilton Hyde Park Hotel is a beautiful 129 bedroom town house hotel. Standard bedrooms have a light and airy feel with a traditional style decor. Room facilities include air-conditioning, cable flat screen TV with games and pay movies, high speed internet access, trouser press, desk, dataport, tea/coffee tray, windows that can be opened, easy chair, magazines, hairdryer, alarm radio and safe deposit box. The hotel has upgraded deluxe rooms that come with bathrobe and slippers and most of which have a view out over Kensington Gardens opposite the front of the hotel. Two bedrooms are adapted for improved accessibility. All bedrooms have keycard access. There is an extensive room service available 24/7 that includes snacks, wines and salads alongside meals from the hotels own restaurant. (limited menu 23.00 till 10.00).
