Introduction:
The Hilton London Metropole Hotel
is located on the Edgware Road (a busy main road) on the
Northern edge of central London. This is the Northern end of the half mile
section of the Edgware Road which runs from
Marble Arch up to the Western Avenue
A40 flyover (the Westway). At the Marble Arch end the road is full of shops,
boutiques and restaurants geared towards the Middle Eastern visitor. At the
North end the type of shops become more conventional and include a major
supermarket. To the West of the hotel is just 0.4 miles from
Paddington Station
from where you can catch the
Heathrow Express non-stop train service to Heathrow
Airport. To the North of the hotel are residential areas such as
Maida Vale and
St Johns Wood. To the East is the area of Marylebone which has a popular High
Street, not surprisingly named Marylebone High Street. Other nearby attractions

Sports Bar: Opened in September 2007 after a £900,000 refurbishment. With an Informal
but buzzy atmosphere
and 50 seat capacity. Modern and contemporary with an alcove area and areas with
sofas and several large screen plasma televisions showing major sports events
and news channels. Serves a
range of drinks from beers and wines to cocktails. Also serves a snack bar menu
and platters (food is served all day till 22.30). Open
noon till 23.00 (from 13.00 weekends and bank holidays).
Fiamma Restaurant: 322 seats. Part of the sports bar refurbishment. Fresh
contemporary colours are the setting for this restaurant serving a Mediterranean
a la carte menu and theatre cooking. The menu options include fresh fish,
pizzas, pastas and grills, freshly made salads and desserts.

Lunch and Dinner 06:30till 22:30 (till 23.30 weekends).
The Lounge Bar: Located on the ground floor and has a capacity for 50. Here
you can relax in the spacious leather sofa seats and cosy chairs. Drinks include a large range of wines
and cocktails. Makes an ideal meeting place for freinds or colleagues with
coffee served in the mornings, snacks at lunchtime and tea served in the
afternoon.
The bar is open to the general public as well as to Metropole
hotel guests but is guests only from 23.00 till 02.00. Also serves light meals

The Nippon Tuk: An Asian Fusion bar and restaurant which can be found up on the
twenty fourth floor. Here you can enjoy wonderful views over London.
Sophisticated and glamorous setting with a 90 seat capacity and serves Eastern cuisine with
dishes that include Sushi, Sashimi, Tempura, Noodle and Seafood. Fun exciting
mix of eastern food and drink with a sophisticated touch.

Dinner: Monday to Saturday, 18.00 till 23.00.

Coffee Shop: In the hotel lobby on the ground floor and the place for an
informal coffee or breakfast in a buzzy atmopshere. Enjoy light meals, panini,
sandwiches or freshly baked pain au chocolate throughout the day. Range of
coffees and teas including frothy cappuccino and dark espresso. Relax in large,
comfortable leather sofas and armchairs.

massive 46,000 sq ft of conference area catering for up to 1500 delegates.

The Hilton Metropole is the largest business hotel in the UK and the
second largest in Europe as a whole. At the end of November 2006 the hotel was sold to
the Tonstate real estate Group for £417 million. The deal also included the
Birmingham Metropole. The hotel retains its Hilton branding and management while
Tonstate take over the work of renovations.
