The Hilton London Olympia Hotel

Introduction: The Hilton London Olympia Hotel is located at the far West end of Kensington High Street. This is a main road and busy most times of the day. This section is really the start of West London and on the very far borders of Central London. Perfect location if you need access to the Olympia Exhibition centre since the hotel is just 200 yards away along the same stretch of Road (though it becomes Hammersmith Road by the Exhibition centre). Indeed London's other major exhibition centre of Earls Court is only 0.6 miles to the south from here. Kensington High Street itself is one the roads that has become synonymous with London. Popular for its broad selection of shops, bars and cafes (including famous names such as Barkers of Kensington and Marks and Spencer's) with an upmarket feel. At its east end is Kensington Palace, the former home of Diana Princess of Wales with Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park adjacent. The west London location means its one of the first areas you hit as you enter London from Heathrow Airport, just a 20 minute taxi ride away. Less than 500 yards to the north east is the 54 acres of Holland Park. A great place to take a walk and relax with its wildlife reserve and children's play area. 0.7 miles to the north is Shepherds Bush. Here there is more shopping plus clubs open at night along with Shepherds Bush Market. While a very busy area it is not as upmarket as Kensington High Street. Just slightly further in distance to the west is the major shopping High Street of 'King Street', just the other side of Hammersmith Broadway. However the main tourist areas of London are to be found to the east and south of this location with places such as Notting Hill (0.8 miles), South Kensington (1.4 miles), Kings Road, Chelsea (1.5 miles) and Knightsbridge (1.7 miles). Other local places of interest include Leighton house museum (0.1 miles), Commonwealth Institute (0.3 miles) and Linley Sambourne House (0.5 miles).

All the rooms are modern and contemporary in style with en-suite facilities. They come with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers, trouser press, direct dial telephone, data port, cable TV with pay movies, high speed internet access, large desk area and individually controlled air conditioning.
Standard and deluxe rooms are 20m.
Deluxe rooms come with extras such as robes, safe, and slippers.
Junior suites are 24m. They have granite bathrooms, free magazines, fruit, mineral water, fluffy bathrobe and slippers. They also include a safe, fax machine and guests have a balcony.
Suites are 42m. They all have a separate living area as well as the amenities found in the deluxe rooms.
Room service is 24 hours with options for special requests and kosher food.

Dining:
Plum Grill: 125 seats. Stylish and elegant restaurant with natural light serving international classics and a carvery lunch buffet. Varied menu with dishes such as Spanish gazpacho soup, Scottish smoked salmon, Thai green curry, pastas, Fish and chips, Sirloin steak, Chargrilled vegetables, Dark chocolate truffle and Crispy duck.
Open 06.30 till 22.30.
Plum Bar: 65 seats. Modern and contemporary style with leather chairs and couches. Full range of drinks along with bar nibbles such as potato wedges or stuffed jalapenos. Open 11.00 till 01.00.
Plum Sports Lounge: 20 seats. As the name suggests this is a sports themed bar with sports memorabilia all around. Features leather couches and plasma and projector TV screens. Bar menu includes burgers, sandwiches, appetisers and salads. Additionally there is a children's menu. Open 11.00 till 01.00.

There are 10 meeting rooms all with high speed internet access and the largest room  can handle up to 250 guests.
The hotels dedicated business centre is open 09.00 till 18.00 and facilities here include copy, fax, projector and WiFi internet access.

Luggage storage is available and WiFi can be picked up in the hotel lobby.
The hotel has a fitness area called the 'Fitness on Two'. Range of equipment which include treadmills, cardio and resistance machines and free weights. Mirrors around the walls, wooden floor and a shower area. Open 06.30 till 22.00.
