Located adjacent to Paddington Station and actually
connected via footbridge. This is the station where Heathrow Airport is just 15 minutes away
via the non-stop
Heathrow Express. The Hilton is not just convenient for Paddington
Station but also as a base to explore the rest of central London. Just North
West of central London and within walking distance of Hyde Park. Excellent shopping can found in the
surrounding area most notably at Edgware Road (middle eastern flavour) and Queensway
(ice skating and covered shopping centre). Marble Arch and the start of Oxford
Street is 0.7 miles to the east at the far end of the Bayswater Road. Nearest attractions
include the Alexandra Fleming laboratory (0.1 miles), Serpentine Gallery (0.7 miles), MCC Museum (0.9 miles), Madame
Tussauds (1 miles, Wallace Collection (1 miles), London Zoo (1.2 miles),
Kensington Palace (1.4 miles) and Buckingham Palace (2 miles).
Standard bedrooms measure 22 sq meters. These rooms are light and airy and have

rooms. These bedrooms come with access to the executive lounge.
Junior suites are 44 sq meters and also give access to the executive lounge.

Brasserie Restaurant: 160 capacity. Chic surroundings with wooden decor serving
a contemporary international menu. Fine wines list. Specialty nights such as
curry on Wednesdays. Open for Breakfast, Lunch and
Dinner. 06.30 till 23.00 (18.00 till 23.00 Saturday, 06.30 till 23.00 Sunday).
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Steam Bar: 120 seat capacity. With its informal atmosphere airy setting the
Steam bar serves both food (light meals, daily sushi bento box and nibbles) and
drinks. Stylish decor with chrome fittings and long wooden bar. Open noon till
01.00, till 02.00 Thursday till Saturday, closed Sunday.
The hotel has 15 meeting/function rooms that can handle up to 400 guests in the
largest ballroom.
Onsite fitness room with cardio machines (treadmills, rowers), free weights and

History: First opened on the 8th June 1854 when the
hotel was originally known as the Great Western Royal hotel. 1854 which was the
same year that Paddington Station, to which the hotel adjoins, was opened. The
hotel
was opened by Albert the Price Consort and was most notable as being the UK's
first Railway hotel. Construction began in 1851 and was the project of its architect Philip Charles Hardwick. It
underwent major remodelling in 1936 and 1938 as well as during its re-branding
into the Hilton Paddington in 2002.
