Introduction: Opened November 1998. The Express by Holiday Inn London-City was the largest Express Hotel in Europe till 2011 (when the Holiday Inn Express Heathrow Terminal 5 took that honour). Located in the City of London with nearby mainline stations at Moorgate (0.6 miles) and Liverpool Street (0.6 miles), and the tube station a 3 minute walk away at Old Street (0.2 miles). On the doorstep of the City of London (financial district) while still giving good access into central London. Well located for London City Airport. Major shopping close by at Kingsland Road (adjacent), Islington High Street (0.8 miles) and a popular market in Hoxton. This area tends to be busy on weekdays but less so on weekends in common with the City of London as a whole. Just over half a mile way by Bishopsgate is Petticoat Lane Market. Associated with fashion industry but also features jewellery and toys. This is London's oldest street market with a 400 year history.  Nearby attractions include Barbican Gallery (0.6 miles), Museum of London (0.8 miles), St Paul's Cathedral (1.1 miles), Monument (1.1 miles), Tower of London (1.2 miles), London Dungeon (1.5 miles), HMS Belfast (1.5 miles), Tate Modern (1.5 miles) and London Eye (2 miles).
