| Introduction:
The Holiday Inn Oxford Circus is located close to
Oxford Street (0.3 miles), Regent Street
(0.3 miles) and
Marble Arch
(0.5 miles) making this a great location for shoppers.
Its actually 0.3 miles from Oxford Circus which is the junction
between Oxford Street and Regent Street. Oxford Street is one of London's most popular shopping areas for
tourists where just about every variety of shop and large store
can be found with many catering for novelty gifts for tourists.
The immediate vicinity is known as Marylebone and Welbeck Street is a side
street but can be busy as its a through route to New Bond Street. The adjacent
road to the North is Wigmore Street which has some excellent shops and with many
pubs and restaurants in the side streets from this road. The hotel is actually
on the border of the start of the heart of central London. Walk South and you
cross Oxford Street into the upmarket fashion and jewellery shopping are of Bond
Street. This leads down to Piccadilly and Green Park which makes up part of the
grounds of
Buckingham Palace. Walk to the North and you'll find
Regents Park
within half a mile. A wide open area of park with wildlife preserves and home to
London Zoo.
