Kensington Close Hotel

Introduction: The Kensington Close Hotel enjoys an almost candid location in a small Close off from the very busy and popular Kensington High Street. Its just a short stroll to the High Street where you will find a fashionable and upmarket area with wonderful range of stores, boutiques, bars and restaurants. At the Western end of the High Street is the major exhibition centre of Olympia (0.7 miles) while to the Eastern end is Kensington Palace (0.3 miles), Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park (0.4 miles). Even more convenient is that the Kensington High Tube Station is almost adjacent to the hotel. On the northern side of the high street is the exclusive residential neighbourhood of Holland Park, and indeed the park of the same name is situated at its heart. To all intents and purposes this part of West Kensington can be said to mark the start of central London as you approach London from the West. The hotel is just off of Wrights lane which runs through a very upmarket and expensive residential area. West London's other major exhibition centre of Earls Court is just 0.7 miles to the West. Other local places of interest are Linley Sambourne House (0.2 miles), Leighton house museum (0.5 miles), Royal Albert Hall (0.7 miles), Natural History Museum (0.8 miles), Albert Memorial (0.8 miles) and the antiques market and fair at Portobello Market (0.8 miles).

A modern and contemporary hotel.
All of the hotel's guest rooms are clean, comfortable, and well appointed.  Room facilities include Coffee/Tea maker, Desk, Hair Dryer, Satellite TV (interactive with pay movies and pay games) and Telephone. All rooms are en-suite (shower, bath).
Executive bedrooms have additional facilities such as a trouser press and a laptop sized safe.
Dedicated levels where all rooms are non-smoking are set aside by the hotel.
Suites have a separate living room and larger bathrooms.
Room service is 24 hours.
Dining:
The Greens of Kensington: British cuisine is served in the relaxed atmosphere of this restaurant. Flexible seating that can handle parties of up to 180 or an intimate dinner at a table for 2. Integrated bar with an excellent range of drinks including cocktail and fine wines. Open 06.30 till 10.00 (07.00 till 11.00 weekends), 12.30 till 14.30 (closed weekends), 17.00 till 20.30.
The Brasserie: Seats 60 guests. Grills and Salads complimented by an extensive wine list. A la carte breakfast option. Open 17.30 till 22.30.
Marloes Bar: Very much in the style of the classic British pub with a bar menu and range of beers. Comfortable and relaxed surroundings. Open 10.00 till 01.00 (for residents).
Central feature of the hotel is its excellent health, fitness and spa facilities (charges apply). The gymnasium has a full range of equipment including cardiovascular machines and free weights. Studio classes for exercises (including yoga)  run throughout the day. There an 18 meter indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and a range of beauty teamsters. Next to the lobby is the Biz Centre, the hotels internet cafe. Here coin operated work stations allow you to access the internet via a computer. The Biz Centre is open 24/7.
Wifi internet access is also available in most of the public areas.
A welcome feature for a central London hotel is the pretty garden with its water fountain. You can sit with a drink in the garden and when weather permits the hotel sometimes has a barbeque out there.
Additional facilities include same day laundry and dry cleaning and a concierge service. Reception is open 24 hours.
The hotel has a training and conference centre that includes 15 meeting/conference rooms.
