Located just on the Western
border of central London and a short walk from Earls Court
Exhibition centre (less than 300 yards) is the Lord Kensington Hotel.
Its just 0.6 miles to another major exhibition centre at Olympia. Popular tourist
areas such as
Kensington High Street (0.5 miles),
South Kensington
(0.9 miles), Knightsbridge (1.5 miles) and
Chelsea (0.9 miles) are
nearby. A good selection of Shopping can be found on the Adjacent Earls Court Road
and just a little further to the Old Brompton Road. This part of
London (Earls Court) has a large concentration of tourist/budget class hotels
and though this is reflected in the surroundings of the immediate vicinity the
major tourist areas and upmarket shopping of central London start from less than
1 mile from here. The hotel is on a relatively quiet side street while the
adjacent Earls Court Road is a busy road used for routing traffic towards
Chelsea and the River Thames. Its a good place to hail one of the many London
Taxis. The tube station of Earls Court which is walking distance away is on the
Piccadilly line which means it goes out to Heathrow Airport (all terminals)
without the need for switching trains. Nearest attractions include
Leighton house museum (0.6 miles),
Linley Sambourne House (0.6
miles), Kensington Palace (0.9 miles),
Hyde Park (1 mile),
Natural History and
Science Museums
(1 mile) and the
