Introduction: The Marriott London Regents Park is
situated yards from Swiss Cottage by the upmarket residential area of Saint
Johns Wood. Swiss Cottage is the gyratory system formed by the junction of
Finchley Road, Avenue Road and Adelaide Road. Its also forms the border between
St Johns Wood and Hampstead. Shopping can be found on the Finchley Road which is
a short walk away, and at the market area of
Camden Town.
Finchley Road actually offers extensive amenities with a large range of shops,
restaurants and bars. The larger stores include major supermarkets and the O2
centre is a covered complex with multi screen cinema and bars. St Johns Wood is
an upmarket residential area while Avenue Road which runs through its heart and
leads down to Regents Park is the location for some of London's most expensive
houses. The park itself is half a mile from the hotel and as well as offering
large open spaces is home
London Zoo. The
hotel has good transport links to all of London thanks to the Black taxi rank
outside the main entrance, and the local train stations of Swiss Cottage, Saint
Johns Wood and Finchley Road. The area is also well served by buses. The close
by A41 dual carriageway gives access to the A406 North Circular Road which is
the orbital road around North London. A nice location as the hotel is walking
distance from very busy areas yet the hotel entrance is actually located on a
quiet residential Road.
