Introduction: The Parkes Hotel is a townhouse hotel located in central London. First built in 1866 the hotel is close to many of the best known London Landmarks and sits in the upmarket area of Knightsbridge. Just 200 yards from world renowned department store Harrods other nearby attractions include Hyde Park (0.3 miles), Victoria and Albert Museum (0.3 miles), Science Museum (0.4 miles), Buckingham Palace (1 mile) and Houses of Parliament (1.6 miles). The upmarket shopping areas of Sloane Street and Knightsbridge are within 1/3 of a mile with Kings Road, Chelsea just slightly further. This a great location for exploring all that London offers. The hotel is situated in Beaufort Gardens just off of Brompton Road which is the A4 dual carriageway and the main road into and out of London giving direct access out to Heathrow Airport and the West of England. Beaufort Gardens is a relatively quiet cul-de-sac so there is no through traffic on this road.
