Description: The Ramada Gatwick Hotel is just 2.8 miles from Gatwick Airport in the town of Crawley. This is a town steeped in history dating back to the Stone, Iron and Bronze Ages. One mile from the hotel is the Crawley Leisure Park with cinema and bowling. Around the same distance to the County Shopping Mall and 3.4 miles from Gatwick Zoo. Around 2 miles away is Tilgate Park, featuring 400 acres of open space, a golf course and a nature centre. Other local attractions include Crawley Museum Centre (1.3 miles) and Ifield Watermill (2.2 miles). A little further at 18.5 miles is Chessington World of Adventures, but if you have the time its great way to spend a day. One of the most popular attractions in Sussex is the Sheffield Park Stn Bluebell Railway, the UK's first preserved standard gauge passenger railway, and 11.7 miles from the hotel. Horse racing fans are well served with Lingfield Races just 7.8 miles away and Epsom, Home of the English Derby, 13 miles from here. Close to the M23 motorway which connects with the M25 as well as giving access into South London or out to the South Coast and Brighton.
