| Introduction:
The Rembrandt Hotel London is located right in the heart of
London.
Actually straddling the border between South Kensington and Knightsbridge, two
of London's more upmarket and exclusive areas both in terms of amenities and to
live. Perhaps best known locally for its fashion boutiques and internationally
for the famous Harrods department store. The surrounding area provides many
places of interest with the likes of the Victoria and Albert Museum (0.1 miles),
Brompton Oratory (0.1 miles), Science Museum (0.1 mile) and Natural
History Museum (0.2 miles) all within strolling distance. Less than half a
mile to the north you will find Hyde Park. A large area of open space with a
central lake (Serpentine) where you can hire boats in summer. There's also a
gallery within the park along with a number of famous sculptures and statues and
areas of landscaped gardens. For some fine nightlife try the Kings Road Chelsea
half a mile to the south or travel into the heart of the West End, just
over a mile and a half to the east around Piccadilly Circus. The nearby
Gloucester Road tube station provides a link to Heathrow Airport via the
Piccadilly Line. 1.3 miles to the east is the major attraction of Buckingham
Palace, home to the British Monarchy and surrounded by Green park and St James's
Park. Hotel: With the ornate architecture associated with an English country house, the Rembrandt hotel is an Edwardian building offers classic accommodation in a prime location. Room amenities include en-suite facilities, complimentary high speed internet access, Hairdryer, desk, trouser press, tea/Coffee tray, fridge, interactive TV and PPV Movies, Radio, safe, ironing centre and direct dial Telephone. Beds have a duvet. The TV can be sued with a supplied keyboard to access the internet and there is a charge for this service. Room service is 24 hours. Some rooms have a Jacuzzi. Most rooms have both US and Epower U sockets. Executive rooms are larger than the standard rooms (superior) and have air conditioning and a more comfy seating area. Grand rooms are also air-conditioned and come with a stocked minibar, mineral water and fruit. Bathrooms have upgraded toiletries, Bathrobes and slippers. Dining Options: 1606 Lounge Bar: Modern elegant setting with sofas and moody lighting giving a very stylish feel. Range of drinks where sophistication is the key word. Serves morning coffee, light meals and Afternoon tea (15.00 till 17.00). Champagnes in the evening. Palette Restaurant: Fine dining. Mornings sees a breakfast buffet served with a good range of options. Carvery is served afternoons and evenings (two roasts of the day) along with seasonal salads, hot dishes (example, Pan fried Chicken Breast, Steamed Fillet of Salmon , Pork Chops with Apple Sauce) and a range of desserts (examples, Strawberry Cheesecake, White and Dark Chocolate Roulade, Fruits of the Forest Pavlova, Cheese and Biscuits). Public areas are fully air conditioned and there are 6 meeting rooms for up to 200 guests including 6 conference and syndicate rooms. A Business desk with printer and Broadband Internet access is also available. WIFI is available in all public areas (free). Two workstations can be found in the lobby (charges apply). Next door to the Rembrandt is the Roman Style Aquilla Health Club with its own entrance by the reception. Hotel guests have concessionary rates.
