The Selson Park Hotel is a Neo-Jacobean building located to the South of Croydon near to Sanderstead.
This location is just 13 miles from Gatwick Airport and 12 miles from the centre
of London and so makes a good choice as a stopover or for a journey between the
two. The hotel with a history spanning 1000 years resides in 205 acres of parkland with its own 18-hole championship golf-course
and offers wonderful views of the North Downs countryside. The Selsdon has the
feel of a large Elizabethan manor with features such as tapestries, a suit of
armour, and jousting sabres in the lobby. Nearest attractions include Selsdon
Wood (0.5 miles), Heritage Centre (4.6 miles), Little Holland House (4.7 miles),
Crystal Palace Museum (5.4 miles) and Eltham Palace (8.8 miles). The Selsdon Park hotel occupies 205 acres of impressive parkland and has a long history going back over 1000 years. The hotel building itself dates back to 1875. All bedrooms are en-suite. Bedroom amenities include Coffee/tea maker, Direct Dial Phone, Satellite Television with pay movies, mini safe, Toilet, Shower, Wake Up Calls, high speed internet access (cable) and Hairdryer. Executive Rooms have views out over the hotels golf course and Surrey Downs. Larger than standard rooms. Family Rooms come with two Double beds and have additional space for and extra bed or cot. The Cedar Restaurant is air-conditioned and overlooks the terraces and gardens and serves international cuisine. Open 07.00 till 09.00 (Saturday till 10.00, Sunday 07.30 till 10.30), noon till 14.00, 19.00 till 21.30 The Phoenix Bar & Grill is an intimate bar overlooking the indoor swimming pool and has a large-screen TV for sports and news, and a photo gallery of sports heroes. Open from late morning to late evening. The Lounge, an oak-panelled room with a real fireplace serves an afternoon menu of teas, coffees, light snacks, and sandwiches. The Solarium serves light lunch or afternoon tea, with small tables set before traditional sofas and armchairs. With a total of 22 conference and meeting rooms catering for up to 350 delegates, including four Motivator Suites, the hotel makes an ideal location for corporate, incentive and team building events. Other hotel facilities also include an 18-hole golf course (6473 yards, par 73), tennis and squash courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and fitness centre offering a sauna, steam room, facials, massages, and other body treatments. 24 hour reception. This is an all non-smoking hotel. There are however designated areas for smoking outside of the hotel. |

| Comment: The Selsdon Park hotel is part of the Principal Hotels chain which was bought Permira (an equity firm) from Royal Bank of Scotland in September 2006. The chain was then sold to Alternative Asset Investment Management (AAIM) in December 2006 in a sale and lease back arrangement. |
