| Description:
The London Outpost is something out of the ordinary. A small intimate hotel with
a private garden for the use of club members and hotel guests, offering 5 star levels of service
and exclusivity. The ambience here is one of relaxation and elegance. Throughout
the hotel you will find fine oil paintings and marble busts are part of the
decor. The hotel was formerly an 1880's private Georgian residence that has been
restored to its former glory and is home to eleven individually styled, shaped
and furnished bedrooms. Configurations include twins, doubles and suites. Each
of the four floors has 2 or 3 bedrooms. Each bedroom enjoys the benefits of air-conditioning and an en-suite bathroom and are furnished with antique English furniture. Adding to the rooms individuality they each have their own names, all of which are artists or writers who have lived in the local area. Bedroom amenities include a drinks tray, direct dial phone and a fax facility. Room service is 24 hours and includes a wide range of traditional dishes, caviar, Scottish smoked salmon, home made soups, salads, wines and light meals. You will find a room service menu in your bedroom. Breakfast can be enjoyed either in your own room or in the airy conservatory which also serves light meals. Breakfast is served from 07.00 until 14.00. Champagne can be sipped from silver goblets in the relaxed atmosphere of the drawing room where you can also enjoy afternoon tea. The Drawing room features a fireplace. The hotel also features a library and, notably, a snooker room on the lower level. Beauty treatments (extra charge) can be arranged at the hotel if you give staff advance notice. For the business traveller services provided include emails, fax, laptop, projector, telephone conferencing and WIFI internet connection. The hotels meeting room can accommodate up to 35 guests theatre style. As you would expect there is a concierge service to help with bags and additional services include shoe shine, laundry and lined turn down service. The reception is staffed 24 hours. |
