Introduction: The San Domenico House was extended in size
(taking in the adjacent house) after being re-branded in early 2006. The hotel
enjoys a great location close to Sloane Square. Its situated in a residential
street within an upmarket area while being just yards from some of London's best
shopping and trendiest evening venues.
Kings Road
has a long and illustrious history as a fashion setter with its many boutiques
selling slightly off the wall fashion. Alongside the boutiques are larger storeS,
a supermarket, cinema and many restaurants bars and cafes. The area is bustling
by both day and night with its bars among some of of the trendiest in London.
The hotels location is also convenient for the Gatwick express which goes from
Victoria to Gatwick Airport every 15 minutes. Half a mile to the north of the
San Domenico House Hotel finds
South Kensington, another well known shopping area. Half a mile to the south are
the banks of the River Thames. The River has sign posted walks along its banks
or for a more leisurely time relax on a bench in one of the many dedicated

Hotel:
Originally two red brick Victorian residential homes and now a very grand and
elegant boutique style hotel.
The San Domenico hotel has 15 bedrooms (nine suites) making for an intimate
experience in this accommodation that dates back to Victorian times. Features a
marble lobby. There's an Italian feel to the hotel with gilt, silk, urns and
cherubs decorating the interior. No surprise here as the hotel was created by
Italian Marisa Melpignano.
Each bedroom is uniquely decorated complete with an en-suite bathroom finished
in marble and includes both a bath and a shower (plus heated towel rail,
robes). Supplied toiletries include olive oil soap, creams from the Masseria
San Domenico (sister hotel in southern Italy) and Molton Brown products.

The rooms have different themes and feature international antiques and works of
art along with large fitted wardrobes.
In-room amenities include a two line digital telephone system (with private
number), wired high speed internet access, individually controlled
air-conditioning, desk, cable TV and minibar. Fax machine, DVD and CD players
can be requested.
Some rooms also feature a balcony and terrace and split levels. Junior have a
small adjacent room.
The Gallery Suites are spread over two levels and feature a four poster bed.
The hotel offers a comprehensive room service (breakfast, lunch and dinner) that
can be requested 24 hours a day that includes a children's menu.
The San Domenico serves breakfast onsite in its breakfast room and a rooftop
terrace (also serves drinks) with views out over views surrounding areas.
In the afternoon you can enjoy a relaxing tea in the hotels lounge/drawing room
where aperitifs are also served. Here the Italian flavour in once again obvious
and within the lounge you'll find a range of Italian antiques.
Business guests can make use of the hotels fax facility as well as copy and
secretarial services. There also meeting/conference rooms that can accommodate
up to twenty delegates.
A concierge is on hand to help with things such a travel information and tickets
for local attractions.
