| Description:
The Abba Queens Gate Hotel with its Victorian frontage, is situated
in central London close to the tourist areas and on the doorstep of some of the
most upmarket areas. A short walk to the North finds
Kensington High Street, Kensington
Gardens and Hyde Park. Kensington High Street is known for its fashionable
shopping mixed with cafes, bars a casino and restaurants. Here you will find
Kensington
Palace which was the former home of Diana the Princess of Wales. Next to the
Palace is Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. These two open space together form a
wonderful park where you can easily spend a day admiring the many statues and
gardens, view the gallery, take a boat onto the Lake Serpentine (time of year
and weather permitting), watch the horses being ridden around the dedicated
areas of the park or any of the many activities that take place here. To the
South of the hotel is the A4 dual carriageway, this is the main road into and
out of central London and gives direct road access out to Heathrow Airport. Just
beyond the A4 is the Fulham Road another busy shopping area, and beyond that is
the famous
Kings Road Chelsea which is is known for setting fashion trends although the
shops and amenities to be found there are very varied. Other nearby attractions
include the
Natural History and
Science
Museums (0.2 miles), Royal Albert Hall (0.2 miles),
Harrods department
Store (0.7 miles),
Buckingham Palace (1.7 miles),
Westminster
Abbey (2.2 miles) and the
London Eye
(Millennium Wheel) (2.7 miles). This is a boutique style hotel offering quaint and contemporary surroundings. The hotels bedrooms are contemporary in style and most of the rooms have a balcony area. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom with tea and coffee making facilities, remote control satellite TV with pay movies, personal safe, central heating, desk, modem internet connection, direct dial telephone, mini bar, trouser press and hairdryer. Smoking rooms can be requested but are subject to availability. Room configurations include doubles, twins, executive bedrooms and triple rooms that can accommodate 3 adults. The Abbas' Club House restaurant serves morning breakfast from a wide ranging menu. The choices on offer include pastries, breads, cereals, fruits and juices as well as a full English breakfast. Open 7-10 am Monday till Saturday and 8 till 11 am Sunday. The hotel also has a lounge and modern stylish bar area where you can relax with a drink. The bar also serves soft drinks, breakfast buffet and lunch. The hotel front reception is manned 24 hours a day and provides safe and posting facilities. Should you require them there are luggage storage and laundry facilities available. The business traveller will be pleased to know the hotel has a business centre and meeting facilities. A concierge service is also on offer. |
