Introduction:
The Bentley London is located between South Kensington and Earls Court in a semi residential section of the area. Although between two very busy main roads (Cromwell Road
and Old Brompton Road) this location gives something of a secluded feel from the busy surrounding areas. The Cromwell Road is part of the much longer A4 dual
carriageway and is actually the main arterial route for road traffic into west and central London. It links up with
Heathrow airport which can be driven in
around 30 minutes from here. Other popular shopping districts within easy reach are
Kensington High Street (0.6 miles),
Kings Road, Chelsea (0.7 miles) and Knightsbridge (home to Harrods department store)(1 mile). The major exhibition
centre of Earls Court is just 0.6 miles to the west of the hotel. One of London's major features is the River Thames that splits the city in two. Its
banks make for a great walk or scenic areas where you can view the passing boats or even take a river boat trip yourself. Its less than a mile to the nearest
point of the River along and you van take a River bus form Chelsea or Cadogan pier. Other local places of interest include the
Natural History Museum,
Science
Museum and the
Victoria and Albert Museum (all grouped together)(0.4 miles),
Royal Albert Hall (0.6 miles),
Linley Sambourne House (0.7 miles), Brompton
Oratory (London's second largest Catholic church) (0.8 miles) and
Kensington
Palace (0.8 miles).
