Introduction: The Thistle City Barbican enjoys a location particularly well suited to the business traveller. On the northern border of the City of London (a.k.a the square mile) but also just half mile to North is Angel and Islington. Here you will find the Business Design Centre along with a large shopping area complete with two separate markets as well as a great range of pubs and restaurants. While the hotels immediate vicinity has little in the way of nightlife the wider area of Clerkenwell itself and the surrounding Hoxton area have become very fashionable and popular night time venues. Nearest tourist areas are to the West and start at Covent Garden which is just 1.6 miles from here. Other local places of interest include The Museum of London (0.6 miles), Dickens House (0.9 miles), St. Paul's Cathedral (0.9 miles), Old Spitalfields Market (now a busy shopping centre) (1 mile) and Millennium Bridge (1.1 mile). Its worth noting that if you are travelling to or from Stansted Airport then you catch the Stansted Express which runs from Liverpool Street Station which is less than a mile from the hotel.

A large hotel, the Thistle City Barbican boasts 463 rooms. Located off from the busy surrounding main roads.
Bedrooms are decorated in a modern traditional style.
All the bedrooms are en-suite (toiletries supplied) with hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone, iron and ironing board, radio, desk, flat screen TV with digital channels, wireless internet access and express check-out.

CoMotion Bar: A coming together of a New York deli with an Italian cafe in an Art Deco style. Enjoy a breakfast coffee. Serves snacks and drinks. Open 07.00 till 22.30 (from 08.30 weekends).
120 Central Brasserie: A relaxed and modern setting. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and features A La Carte British and European cuisine. Also serves a selection of New World wines.
Open for breakfast 6:30 till 10.00 (weekends 7.00 till 10:30), Lunch 12:30 till 14:30 (not open Saturday), Evening Meal 17:30 till 22:30 ( weekends 17.00 till 22.00).

Shuttle Bus: The Thistle City Barbican hotel runs a shuttle service into the City of London which runs every 25 minutes between7.10 am till 10 am and then 5 pm till 8 pm dropping off at at Barbican, Moorgate and Old Street stations.
