The Thistle Hyde Park Hotel
London is situated between Marble Arch and Queensway which are
both excellent shopping areas and close to Paddington Station
which has the direct train service to Heathrow Airport called
the Heathrow Express. Hailing a taxi is not a problem with many
ranking up on Lancaster Gate as well as passing by on the busy
Bayswater Road. Just acros the road is the wonderful
Hyde Park with its wide open spaces,
lake, horse riding and gallery. Nearest attractions include Kensington Palace,
Portobello Road Antiques Market, Madame Tussauds, London Toy
and Model Museum, Serpentine Gallery and the Natural History and
Science Museums. A small deluxe hotel, a white painted Regency building, with a club-like atmosphere. Thistle Hyde Park offers a home away from home to discerning business and leisure travellers who appreciate the hotel's blend of superb service and elegant comfort. Bedrooms are decorated in a Victorian style and feature high ceilings. All rooms have marble bathrooms with bathroom telephones, Bathrobes and Hairdryers. Other amenities include satellite television, mini bar, coffee and tea making facilities, voicemail, dataport, safe, wakeup calls and air-conditioning. The hotel offers a room service. The hotels Cocktail Bar serves afternoon teas and light snacks as well as alcoholic drinks. Monday to Saturday 11am - 11pm Sunday 12pm - 10:30pm. The 'GRILL ROOM' is the hotels onsite restaurant serving British cuisine with continental influences. The restaurant has a traditional English style with chintz drapes and leather armchairs. The Grill Room also serves drinks and light refreshments. Breakfast Monday to Friday 7am - 10am, Saturday and Sunday 7:30am - 10:30am, Dinner Daily 6pm - 10pm. As you would expect the hotel offers concierge services which include assistance with trip and sightseeing planning. The front reception desk is staffed 24 hours a day. The hotel has 2 meeting rooms for the business traveller with a capacity for up to 30 guests in theatre style. These have air-conditioning with natural light and audio and visual equipment. |
