| Description:
The Travelodge Covent
Garden is in a
great location. Drury Lane is a famous London road noted for
being close to some of the best theatres in London. These
include the Drury Lane Theatre Royal, Aldwych Theatre and New
London Theatre as well as many more in and around London's
Theatre land. Also within walking distance is Soho with its many
bars and great nightlife, Chinatown and Covent Garden. This
location will also suit anyone needing access to the financial
centre known as the City of London or Square Mile, and also
Waterloo station with its mainline rail services. On July 7th 2006 the hotel opened a second reception which is actually just around the corner to the main building, on the opposite side of the road, and is at 166 High Holborn (on the corner with Museum Street). This second building was actually the former Travelodge London High Holborn. This second building is far newer and is modern and contemporary in style. The hotel has a licensed bar and a cafe onsite. The Bar Café serves breakfast and diner alongside the drinks from the the bar. Breakfast is an unlimited buffet where you can eat as much as you want for one fixed price. Choices here include a cooked breakfast, toast, cereals, yoghurts, tea, coffee and fruit juices. Later in the day the bar offerings include wraps and paninis, steak, fish, salad and pizzas. The bar has a large selection of drinks including wines, lagers, beers, soft beverages and spirits. Please note there are no onsite luggage storage facilities. Although the bathrooms have no toiletries these can be purchased at reception. Travelodge provide standard facilities across their UK chain in order that the customer knows what to expect at each Travelodge. Standard facilities include King-sized bed and duvet (in most Travelodge's), En-suite bathroom, Remote-control colour TV, Tea and coffee-making facilities, Direct dial phone, Internet access via laptop connection and In room films. Onsite standard facilities include a 24 hour reception, breakfast served (charge) and a drink/snack vending machine. |
