| Introduction: Situated in
central London, just North West of centre is the Hempel Hotel. This location is
very popular with budget and tourist class hotels which are found side by side
with the residential population. Most residences in this area are flats
(apartments) converted from Victorian and Gerorgian style houses. This particular location is
in a triangle between Queensway, Bayswater and Paddington. Queensway is noted
for Its shopping High street with many boutique style shops, bars and
restaurants. The High Street includes an ice skating rink at one end and the
covered shopping mall of Whitley's at the other. This area has a large Middle
Eastern population. Bayswater is actually the Road that runs parallel to Hyde
Park and along here you will find very expensive apartment blocks. On Sundays
along Bayswater Road there is an arts market mainly of original paintings.
Paddington hosts the two train services to Heathrow Airport, the
Heathrow Express (non-stop) and the Heathrow Connect Service which makes
stops along the way. The hotel is less than 300 yards from
Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.
Here you will find enough to do for a whole day. The two parks are full of
dedicated garden areas, memorials and statues along with the Serpentine lake and
gallery at its heart where you can take out a boat in good weather. The hotel is
just over half a mile from the chic shopping and upmarket residential area of
Notting Hill,
made famous by the film of the same name. 1 mile from the hotel is
Marble
Arch which apart from being a landmark in its own right is the start of two
major shopping areas, Edgware Road with its middle Eastern oriented shops and
restaurants, and Oxford Street,
which has one of the highest densities of shopping of any road in Europe and is

Kensington Palace (0.7 miles), Royal Albert Hall (0.8 miles) and

Room service is available 24 hours a day. A DVD player and Video player are also available. Room configurations include Superior (twin, single and double) rooms, Deluxe rooms, Junior suites and Superior Suites that come with a seating area. Rooms include Queen, king and four poster beds. The hotel Suites are all individually designed in keeping with the bedrooms. The hotel has fully serviced and self contained Apartments. The Deluxe Apartments have views over the Hempel Garden Square. They have a single bedroom along with a kitchenette, guest and personal bathroom and video entry. dining options: I-Thai: Calmness is the ambience created here in this first class restaurant with a startling look designed to catch the eye and the imagination. Jade Room: This is a private dining room separated from I-Thai by a floating glass panel and with a capacity for up to 14 guests. Here you can enjoy fire dancing over cracked oyster shells with a fusion menu and wine . H-Bar: Open to hotel guests and the general public. Romantic and stylishly modern. Described described by RedHot magazine as 'one of London's best kept secrets'. No. 35: This is a new addition to the hotel in 2006. In keeping with the hotel as a whole no. 35 is offers a stylish and sophisticated environment. Here you can enjoy fresh croissants and coffee. At night enjoy piano music along with fine wines and vintage cognacs amongst the many drinks on offer. More: For the business traveller the hotel has meeting facilities to cater for anything from 2 to 200 guests. Meeting room features include natural light, high ceilings and WIFI internet connectivity. Other notable hotel features include a private Zen garden (large Ornamental Garden In Front Of The Hotel) and Hempel Garden Square. The hotel lobby has a Portland stone floor, fireplace and a television for guest use. The reception is manned 24 hours a day 7 days a week. |
